Sad News and a Wish for Peace

We found out today that our neighbor across the street passed away yesterday morning.  Her husband discovered that she died in her sleep when he woke to find her unresponsive.  It was determined at the hospital that she died from a brain aneurism.  I am unsure of her exact age but I believe she was in her early forties.

She has a daughter that will graduate high school this summer.  The last time I spoke to her I remember her telling me how proud she was of her daughter and how excited she was about her being a senior this year.  All I can think about is that she won’t be there to see her graduate…that single thought has stayed at the forefront of my mind for some reason.

Please keep the family in your thoughts prayers.  They are keeping her on life support because the family is donating her organs which is something she would have wanted.

I found comfort in this poem…go in peace Charlene…love will light your way.

Peace my heart…

Peace, my heart, let the time for the parting be sweet.
Let it not be a death but completeness.
Let love melt into memory and pain into songs.
Let the flight through the sky end in the folding of the wings over the nest.
Let the last touch of your hands be gentle like the flower of the night.
Stand still, O Beautiful End, for a moment, and say your last words in silence.
I bow to you and hold up my lamp to light you on your way.

I have volumes of Tagore\’s works. he is one of my most favorite poets. His work covers anything we meet in life.I am sincerely sorry for the family of your neighbor who passed away. That is so sad.

That is a beautiful poem, Rhonda, and I have not seen it before, and am so glad you shared it. My heart is heavy for the family and I will be praying. A dear friend of mine lost her husband in a similar fashion, except it was a heart attack, and she was 8 months…expecting and had a two year old. The loss, and suddenness, on top of it all, and empty place, just make me cry to think about for them.Love and hugs,Beth

My heart is sad for your neighbor, for those around her in pain. Light the lamp on every house that she fears not to leave. For the light she gave returned for she touched many.PeaceMark

Sorry to hear such sad news hun . But her mama will be there in spirit to see her get her certificate . Thats a very young woman to have died if that was the case but she is going out a hero .because organ donation is a brave thing to do and a good cause .That is what I\’m going to do ,its on my health card already.I will pray for the family and I\’m sure she will go to heaven and she died in her sleep which is a better way to pass .Not that passing is over a better thing to do at all but I\’m sure you know what I mean dear.God bless you you . Rest in peace Charlene .( I loved the poem dear ,very nice and appropriate) love Terry

She is 49 and she is not dead. She is on a ventilator to keep her organs preserved for the donation process. Her family agreed to have her organs donated to benefit others. She will be free soon though. I spoke to her a few weeks ago when I was doing one of the last snowblowing for the year and she was telling me how she was waiting for her tax refund so she could buy David the biggest blower there is….

Excuse me Earl if I got some of the details wrong; for all intensive purposes she is only being kept alive by machines so I believe her spirit is already gone; but thank you for the clarificaiton.

There is no need to ask for voices to seek help for one that has begun the journey. For she is already in His almighty hands. But do continue to ask Of His mercy for the loved ones left behind.Peace in our time
