The Tree

 THE TREE

The calm quiet strength of a tree
Anchored deep in the earth
Reaching high in the sky
The calm quiet strength of a tree

The calm quiet strength of a tree
Full of life from its roots
To the tiniest branch
The calm quiet strength of a tree

And oh, how it comforts me
How it teaches me
Without a sound
Then I realize at once
That this tree and I are one
In eternity

The calm quiet strength of a tree
From the weight of its trunk
To its delicate leaves
The calm quiet strength of a tree

The calm quiet strength of a tree
Showing anyone near
All the secrets of time
The calm quiet strength of a tree

Wishing you all the calm quiet strength of the trees!

Loved this Rhonda – when the weather permits, Jedda and I spend calming time under the tree in my yard – special moments! Mainly coz we have visits from the bird-tenants asking for bread crumbs.

I actually do love trees and can appreciate all that they offer us. When I was younger, I believed that they only served one purpose. To climb. I liked climbing trees, though I had a bad habit of falling out of them. Not any more now. Too old for that sort of thing. But my family did say that I should have been born a monkey. (no comments please, I am sensitive) What a wonderful entry Rhonda!

Just dropped by to say Hi… Hope the jobs going well. Trees are beautiful things. We went on holiday when I was a kid to the Shetland Islands and they have no trees there. Just beautiful wild flowers everywhere.Hugs Jewelie

Hug a tree today… I do!!! Wow Jewelie, found it very interesting that such a place would exist without tress. What a cool fact to share. Thank you : )

Beautiful poem Rhonda. Love the picture too. I think that is something we all strive for. To have calm , quiet strength like a tree standing tall against the elements that try to blow us over, to have Faith that is strong and unwavering . Keep the Faith Rhonda.Hope all is well with you and little Emma.Love and PrayersDianne 🙂

I often gain strenght from the trees. Hope all is going well with you. Miss you but know how busy your life is now. I love this concept of still being able to come and connect with people here even if they are busy on another road. Take Care my dear friend Hugs Carrie
