I asked God to take away my habit.
God said, No.
It is not for me to take away,

God said, No.

Condolences for Al’s Family

Many of you have emailed me asking if I knew where condolences could be sent for Albert’s family.
I was finally able to obtain the following information.
A memorial service to celebrate Al’s life is planned for next month. It will be in late June so his out of state family members can fly in. Too many close relatives are ill in the hospital at the moment, so the family has decided it would be best to wait until everyone could attend, especially since Al’s wishes were to be cremated.

Al…my treasured and cherished friend…
Knowing your strong support of our soldiers and your devoted service to our country, I felt it only appropriate to honor you with these words.

Devestating News

I received a heartbreaking call tonight to let me know that Albert died of a massive heart attack this evening; they were unable to revive him.  I am in shock as I am typing this.  For those of you that were friends with Al, I know that you will be just as devestated by this news as I am…may we hold his memory close to our hearts and keep his family in our prayers.
He was a hero to all who knew him and will never be forgotten.

Sad News and a Wish for Peace


We found out today that our neighbor across the street passed away yesterday morning.  Her husband discovered that she died in her sleep when he woke to find her unresponsive.  It was determined at the hospital that she died from a brain aneurism.  I am unsure of her exact age but I believe she was in her early forties.

She has a daughter that will graduate high school this summer.  The last time I spoke to her I remember her telling me how proud she was of her daughter and how excited she was about her being a senior this year.  All I can think about is that she won’t be there to see her graduate…that single thought has stayed at the forefront of my mind for some reason.

Please keep the family in your thoughts prayers.  They are keeping her on life support because the family is donating her organs which is something she would have wanted.
