Sunday Drive thru Adirondack Park Preserve

Today was bitterly cold with a high of 17 degrees and freshly fallen snow.

The blue skies glistening on the snow this morning demanded a drive to take in some of the scenery in the Adirondack Park Preserve.

Entering Adirondack Park

 The mountains are calling…

This region is full of lakes that are now frozen and covered with snow…it is paradise for snowmobile lovers and ice skaters!

 Cranberry Lake

Star Lake and Beach…wanna go for a swim?  Polar Club members welcome!

Many of the lakes show off the magnificent view of the Adirondack Mountain Range.

 Long Lake

There is a little town called Tupper Lake that is my favorite…it is quaint and truly beautiful.

Entering the town of Tupper

Serenity at it’s best!

Heading home the landscape seemed to change with the setting of the sun.

Sunset over Tupper Lake

Sun falling over Crystal Lake

Sun shadows down the mountains

So much more to see…so little time…

Bridge to sights yet to see…

We saw plenty of deer along the way which is always a special treat…a Sunday full of scenery and serenity.

Be sure to visit the album for more photos and thanks for coming along for the ride.

I hope everyone had an enjoyable Sunday and that you all will have a great week!

OMGosh, what a beautiful trip! Thanks for taking us along. If all the winter days were as gorgeous as that one, I\’d have no complaints at all! Where are the ice fishermen? It looks like all the lakes are empty. Ice fishing is huge around here!

Beautiful Photos Rhonda with the scenes that made such a wonderful Sunday drive. I drove thru there 4 years ago in the Autumn but the day we drove thru it was completly socked in with fog and rain. Missed it all …Next day when we were no longer Park the skies were cloudless..Hugs Carrie
