We have had so much rain lately that the river was really beautiful with the rapids making the water flow so fast down stream. I made my way down the rocks so I could try and capture how fast the water was moving. Along with it’s beatuty is the powerful roar of the water as it makes its’ way over the rocks.
We pulled Emma along in her wagon and she had a great time. She loves flowers so we had to stop and pick one every time we passed some so she could smell them.
I think the Lazy Susan’s were her favorite.
We walked to the bridge which is the halfway point and then headed back home. It was a great 5 mile walk and a great way to enjoy the beatiful day on a Sunday afternoon. Little Emma was tuckered out and so were we but we got some great photos for our memory book.
I think the best part was the waterfall; all the rain created enough water to turn the usually trickling water into a powerfull waterfall flowing off of the rocks. Emma loves water and was trying her best to get to it, but the rocks were slippery so she had to view it from a distance. I did brave the rocks and made my way down to take a photo.
If you would like to see more photos of the Black River Trail and the scenery along the way, I added a new photo album called "Sunday Scenery on the Black River Trail". This is my favorite place to get away from it all and when Emma gets a litlle older, we can ride our bikes instead of walking…can’t wait!
Hope everyone had a great weekend!
